I hope this helps people learn how to use brads and with primas a little. Let me know if you have any questions.

Prima is a company that makes these flowers.. they come in all shapes and sizes. Brads also come in all shapes and sizes... shown here.

I also use a 1/16" hole punch with my brads. You dont have to use one.. you can just push it through.. but I find it a LOT easier to use the hole punch.

I put the prima where I want it on the paper.. hold it down and punch a hole in the middle through the flower and the paper.

Put your brad in..

Flip it over and seperate the prongs so that they lay flat on the cardstock..

Easy breazy!

Now, you dont HAVE to use brads on primas.. you can just glue the prima down or put ribbon through it.. whatever you want!

Thanks, Ember. I had no idea what primas were. Next question ~ what are fastenators? I saw them in an ebay store when I was shopping and came across them again today in Hobby Lobby. Thanks, Ember.

That's what I was assuming. It seemed like alot of money to spend on them though when you can buy colored staples for a buck at walmart. Was hoping they would be some kind of great find or something.

They're big, fat, staples.. and most of the people who I know that have bought one, said they don't use it. I'm not big on them.. the staples are about the size of 10 regular staples all together..

I am such a Prima hog! I have 13 bottles of them and use them often on my pages and cards. Have you seen the newest Prima products? I want them all!

You can also cut off a couple prima petals and turn them into butterflies... I did a layout a while ago, I will try to post it as an example...

I don't have the Fastenator, but I use my regular stapler with the colored staples often.
