Archival safe - means it's acid/lignin/pvc free and won't cause your photos or papers to yellow over time.
lignin - a chemical found in paper products unless the pkg. specifically says lignin free or archival safe.
BOM - Book Of Me - a book specifically about yourself. So often we are busy scrapping for our kids or families and we forget that someday our children might want a book just about US.
Crop - the "official" term for sitting down with other people and scrapping your little heart out. These are usually organized events with games, challenges, make & takes and fun for all.
Make and take - a how-to project that you get to try for yourself, usually at a crop, and take home with you.
adhesive - can be a number of things - glue, tape runner, sticky tabs, etc. used for attaching embellishments, photos and paper to your page.
sticky dots - heavy duty gummy dots used to stick heavier embellishments to your page.
Pop dots/foam dots - used to stick things to a page giving it a dimensional look, causing it to stand up from the page.
embellishments - (my first love!!) brads, eyelets, bottle caps, tags, etc., etc., etc. used to decorate your scrapbook pages.
buffered - means a paper has been specially treated to keep acid from traveling across the page to other items on the page.
card stock - heavier weight paper used to mat photos, cut die cuts from, make cards with and add color to your projects
cropping photos - cutting or trimming a photo to keep the most important parts prominent.
journaling - writing on a page describing who, what, when, where and how the photos are about.
digital scrapbooking - scrapbooking done on the computer
That's all I can think of for now...feel free to add to this!!
