I am curious as to where you all by your scrapbook stuff? Do you buy it online or in the store or both? And which places are your favorites. I am still a bit new to scrapbooking so I am trying to build up my stuff. Also, what supplies and stuff would your recommend as a must have for a beginner like me? TIA

Depends on what I'm buying. Most of my paper I buy from JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby. Most of stamps are from stampin' up b/c I think the prices for one stamp are ridiculous in the craft stores. My ink comes from stampin' up; that's the only item I'm a scrapbooking snob about. I always look around in JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby to see what they have. Target usually has a few things in their dollar bins. Always, always, always check Big Lots. They have the closeout stuff so it's cheap. I bought 25 sheets of black cardstock for $2 last week. I can usually find a few good deals on walmart clearance as weel. You really have lots of options.

Oriental Trading sent me a scrapbooking catalog today. Has anyone ever ordered from them? They have some cute stuff..and their prices look pretty good, too.

So far just Walmart and The Dollar Tree. I'll check out Big Lots soon. I stay out of craft stores or specialty scrapbook stores because they seem to be way more expensive. I'm a po ho.

Depends on what the supply is for paper, and page protectors its costco all the way, alpha punches from walmart. Albums I get where ever, Just getting into ribbon, Stamps I know a nice gal who sells stampin up. I get embelishments when I can find them cheep so dollar tree or from holliday bazaars. So pretty much anywhere I can find a good price. We don't have a hobby lobby. But I like Artco, micheals and JoAnnes though things have to be on sale in general for me to buy.

I actually find the craft stores to be less expensive. I bought my embossing gun for less than $10 at Hobby Lobby. Just watch the sales.

I'd say probably 80% of my stuff is from Michaels. That's just the closest store to me that has any kind of variety. Although brads and eyelets are MUCH cheeper online. I try to buy paper packs and not just piece by piece. I always check out Wal-Mart and Target though... just in case
