You will need: adhesive, scissors, letter stencil, pencil, page protector, paper color of your choice, double sided foam tape, and buttons. You may also need a glue stick or craft knife.

Turn your stencil over and write your word backwards. (Right to left and all letters facing the left.) This is so you won't see any pencil markings on the front.

Cut out each letter with your scissors or knife. Then place the adhesive on the cardstock and press onto a page protector. Cut around the edges to remove excess page protector.

Place double sided foam tape around the edges of your paper. Determine how many layers by what you're using. For the thicker leaf buttons it took me 3 layers of tape, for these buttons it only took two.

Pour your buttons into the well created by the foam tape.

Place your background paper on top of the foam tape so the buttons don't go everywhere.

Then attach the whole thing to your page or card.

Sorry the pics are so big; I couldn't get them to cooperate w/going smaller.

Sorry I had to redo the whole thing. The original post said I had too many images in it and wouldn't let me edit.

I also saw something in a magazine that said that you can recycle some of those plastic packaging pieces and use them as shaker boxes.

Scruggle ~ I saw that as well but as I have about 100 cheapie page protectors laying around it seemed the more frugal way to go.

Just as a general FYI, I found the double sided foam tape in the framing department of Hobby Lobby.

I did three of the shaker cards tonight for a card swap I am in! They are not perfect, but they are darn cute! LOL I also did not have a stencil for letters, but I freehand pretty well, anyhow. (By the way, less than two weeks ago, I THREW OUT about 15 page protectors that didn't have the side thingies to be able to place them in my albums. I had kept them forever without knowing what to do with them! NOW, I know!)
