Hey ladies! I'm just wondering how you all get dark edges on paper, such as:

TIA!

You can touch an ink pad to the edge of the paper to create the dark effect.

I use a sponge. "Sponging" Push the spnge onto the ink pad the brush it off the sides of the paper/project.

Just any kind of sponge? Or is there some kind of craft sponge? (yeah, I know, I'm a dork).

I have also done it using a damp sponge and a marker when I didn't have the color of ink pad that I wanted. The dampness of the sponge helped the ink from the marker spread.

I've used sponges, but I LOVE my stipple brush. I just tap my bristles against the stamp pad and then tap it around the edges of my paper.

A small piece of any type of sponge should work, Lucky Mom. Just experiment and have fun with it!

If you want the dark edges around something the easy way to do it is to take the object that you want to darken and scrape the edges of it along a stamp pad of the color that you want. It is a quick easy way to give it some color.
