My girlfriend just started selling I Remember When, it's like Creative Memories. Anyway she told me not to buy a cricut to buy their Personal Cutting System. Does anyone know anything about it? She just started selling, I'll be her first party, so she doesn't have one yet. I'd love to hear anyones opinion. Thanks.

I've never heard of that company. I would definitely review it first. I'm a cricut girl through and through, though. I love my cricut machine.

I just looked at both of them. It seems to me that the cricut could do so much more. That just my 2 cents

I used to be an IRW consultant. It's actually a really great, legitimate company. I don't have the XYRON personal cutting system but I do have the Wishblade that they sell. It's similar to the cricut but you NEVER have to buy cartridges for it. You can download literally 1000's of fonts online for free and use the cutter to cut letters from 1/2 to 8 inches.
With the new software you can also connect letters for tites etc (not sure if the cricut can do that).
From what I can tell the cricut is better than the personal cutting system, but the Wishblade offers tons more than the cricut.
You do have to be connected to you computer for the wishblade, which I know is a drawback for some people. I have a laptop so I can still take mine very easily to crops etc (not that I ever have time to go to crops anymore )
If you have any more questions let me know. I do not sell for IRW anymore, so I'm not trying to drum up business or anything, I just really love my wishblade!!

Is the wishblade for letters only?

No, the cricut cannot connect your letters but you have access to thousands of diecuts.

Yes you can cut dicuts. You can also download those for free. The files you have to download are called dingbats. It's like an alphabet, but when you type a letter you actually get a shape. You can also scan an image into your computer and the wishbade will read the image and cut it out.

Thanks everyone! I had my IRW party and made enough in sales to get the personal cutting system for $20. I thought about using the money for "stuff", but I really want to get into the personal cutting system and cricut is not in my budget right now, nor is the wishblade. I looked at the wishblade but I'm rarely at home when I crop so it didn't seem practical for me. I'll let you know when I get it and if I like it. it's made by Xyron so I'm hoping I'll love it.
