scrapbook and how do you organize it when you don't have a designated scrapbook room??? I don't have a designated spot, usually the kitchen table, and I was wanting some ideas as to how to set it up so I don't have to put it away each time.

Does anyone else have the same dilemma or do you all have your own scrapbook rooms?? Also, how do you keep your kids out of it and entertained while you are scrapbooking???? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!! TIA

I have a corner of my guest room which I use as a scrapbooking area. It is a card table that is always set up. I have my supplies inside the closet partly in an organizer that my husband build with cubbies to hold items. I also use those plastic drawers that comes in different sizes and sets that you can find at any store. It really works great and the nice thing is that I can then keep my stuff out and available if I am working on a project. The only reason is because my children are a lot older (11 and 9) so they know to stay out of mom's things. Of course, my daughter will borrow some of my things to do her own scrapbook. I used to just scrapbook when my children were in bed when they were a lot younger. I hope this helps!!!!!!!!!

Nope, we don't all have scrapbooking rooms! I have a corner of my family room with a 4ft table and a storage cabinet set up. Here are a few thumbnails of my area:

I also use a spare room to scrap. We have an enclosed garage; half of it is dh's tool room and his "man space", the other half has a twin bed, closet and a corner desk. I used to sit at the computer desk and scrap and I would have all of my stuff all over the place; hubby always used to complain about my mess. I "ENCOURAGED" (lol) him to make me a place to scrap, and he did!! He put up some shelves and good lighting and "viola"!! I've been so happy with my new mommy space!!

Well heck...I was gonna post some pics, but I can't find my camera!!

I don't have my own room. I use the coffee table in the livingroom. All my stuff is in a big, nice looking roll-a-way cart that I keep in the corner of the room. It's no trouble to just move it over when I need it. I usually work on my scrapbooking after the kids go to bed- get a cup of tea, watch tv with questionable language and no interuptions, and scrap. When I do work on pages while the kids are awake, ds usually grabs a colouring book and sits next to me. We say we are scrapbooking together.

I call the kids my "junior scrappers".

I used to use the dining room table all of the time and the kitchen counter. I never did as much scrapping as I do now because of the fact that the kids would get into it. Now I have a "corner" of the basement that I am still getting organized and the kids have a table next to mine that they use as well. They are starting to get just as much stuff as I am!

I used to use the dining room table, but my dh absolutley hated it! I now have a table in our "den" (a little room off of the laundry room) in the corner and all my stuff is all over the table and in boxes. I like the idea of getting a drawer system going on that is a great idea!
