For the ones that are circles and squares and matted ones? I have a fiskars thingy you know the round dilly with the blade and some circle things to go with it--I can't get it to work. Any suggestions?

When I was doing it regularly I used my friends Creative Memories shape cutters and they're fabulous. I recently bought the fiskars think you're talking about from someone online and I can't get it to work either. I guess I will splurge and get the CM ones because they really are great.

I have the Fiskars shape cutter and I LOVE it! You have to adjust the blade up or down to use it.

Here we go again with that Fiskars cutter thing! I never could get mine to work; I use my CM cutting templates; circles, ovals, hearts, stars...I LOVE them!

All about the CM Shape cutters though if I don't want to cut the pic. I cut the mat. So say with a 4x6 I have a 4.5x6.5 mat will cut an oval out of that and then insert my pic behind it.

I have the Friskars set-up and absolutuely LOVE it. I think the very important thing is the way you have the template placed. You have to be sure that the smooth side is facing UP towards you and not the rough sides with the lines. Then you put the cutter on the edge of the shape and cut around it holding onto the photo and template. You should only have to adjust the cutter up or down the first time and then mine has been GOOD to GO. I hope this helps!!!!!!!

If I mat photos especially squares ones then I just use my Friskars personal paper trimmer.

I guess I am still old fashioned. I use a stencil and draw my shape on the picture and then cut it out myself with regular old scissors. That probably doesn't help you much, but that's how I do it.

I use CM supplies for cutting. I was a Fiskars person until I tried theirs. You can't beat them and the blades seem to stay sharper longer.
