Like many of you I am behind in my scrapbooking. I want to try hard to pound out some pages. Does any have some good ideas on how to accomplish this?

Thanks for any thoughts you can provide.

Lock yourself in a room with plenty of stuff to eat and drink and don't come out for a month! That's the only way I can think of ever getting caught up!

If you have the room leave it out! It takes me an hour plus to pack and up pack all my stuff. When dh is out of town I pull it all out and leave it on the kitchen table. My kids and I eat at the kitchen bar counter. This way when the kids are watching tv I can get a page or two done, when they go to bed I can get some done. Anyway if you're behind, keep the pages simple and concentrate on getting the memories on the page before you forget. Good luck!

I layout entire scrapbooks page by page with the stuff and the pictures that are going on each page. I do a marathon and can pound out a scrapbook in a couple of days. If you have to put your stuff away, you just get out the pile you are working on because the pages are already laid out in a pile (with the page layouts in order 1-20 with one being on top, page 10 in the middle and page 20 on the bottom of the pile.) I don't do scrapbooks any other way.

I like the idea of laying out pages ahead of time. I think for me the hard part and the thing that takes the most time is planning the pages now and getting all the coordinating embelishments. If you dont want to get fancy but just mat your pictures with coordinating papers than you can finish a page much faster. Good luck!!!!!

Try CM's Power Palette supplies. The pages have a more streamlined and timeless look (less froo-froo) and it is easier to churn a lot out and quickly. (Not that I'm 100% caught you mind you!)

Well... I must say... at one point I felt SO overwhelmed because I was so far behind. I do an album for each kid (3) and then other misc. albums. I was *SO* far behind. But, as of right now, Im almost 98% caught up.

Going to monthly crops helped. The biggest thing is organizing my pictures and trying to plan out pages, what embellishments I wanted to use, paper.. etc.

Participating in the Mommysavers crop helps me knock out AT LEAST 10 pages. And I try to do AT LEAST 1 page a day. It really helps.

Or... the only other alternative I can think of.... stop taking pictures. LOL
