Can someone tell me about all the different cutting machines... I want to ask for something GREAT for Christmas *since b'day wasn't exactly 'nice'* ,, but don't know what the differences are,,, I see

Cuttlebug

Sizzix

Cricut

Sidekick...

I'm not sure that's all of the ones that seem to be 'major',,, but can folks post their opinions/experiences,,, if one machine does something more than another,, etc... I'd love some 'real life' advice and info!

TIA

I have the cricut, and I love it but I don't get to use it much because I don't have space for it to stay plugged in-so I guess I would say as long as you have your own work area then its awesome! Also if you don't mind investing in the cartridges. But you get a lot out of each cartridge (sizes and shapes and connected words) unlike the dies (just one size for each die), which is what made me get that instead of a sizzix or the cuttlebug.

Also i chose the cricut over the wishblade because it has the usb plug in the back so maybe someday it will be able to connect to the computer (hopefully) and it was so much cheaper-but with the wishblade you have unlimited choices.

Thanks for that info! Versatility is one of the major things I wanted to learn about. If you get more than 'one' shape for a similar price, that's a LOT better deal IMO

*goes to see what the wishblade is* lol.. i hadn't even heard of that one.. UNLLIMITED possibilities!? wow,, must be SUPER pricey! lol

I guess if you add up all the cartridges and other things you pay for with the cricut, then the wishblade is not all that bad-It was almost worth it I don't even remember why I didn't get it. Something about needing to read directions and all that cr#p-I just wanted to plug in and get to work!
