It is so much easier than trying to put adhesive on the backs of all the letters after you cut them out.

thanks for that info!

I agree - I did buy the spatula and it did come in handy getting the letters off the sticky mat. I looked at the Tool Kit today but didn't think it would be to useful so I left it at the store. Glad to hear from others that I can live without that. I did pick up a package of cutting mats today(I always like extras around) but wouldn't be necessary right away. I"m waiting for my other cartridges to arrive so I can experiment some more with it. Enjoy!!

I already had the X sticker maker and it's great. I've found that if I put the letters in the sticker maker as soon as I cut them out, I don't lose them(especially if I don't intend to use the right away). But be sure to get the repositionable refills - I love being able to put the letters down and then move them around if I need to.

I went on the action site (like Ebay but an Aussie owned one) and got the Xyron 250 with 2carts for $23 including postage that is a savings of about $30.

I will check out that link and see if they ship to Australia but I know Cricut has a 20% off price if you join up and buy from them. If I was to do that it would make them about $95 Australian which is very cheap compared to our prices for carts here- $160 each.
