I enjoy scrapbooking, however, I have a serious organization problem (or should I say lack of!) My scrapbook stuff is everywhere!!!! I have a rolling tote, 6 drawer organizer and a paper holder. I have the paper all mixed together because I'm unsure of the best way to sort it (holidays, season...) and the stickers, brads, and everything else are all mixed together. I'm in need of ideas on how to better organize my scrapbook things. As of right now, when I scrapbook I have a difficult time finding what I need and I make a huge mess. My goal is to be able to find what I need and have less mess. Less mess means more pages scrapbooked. Help the unorganized!!!!!

Our space is limited as well, which makes it tough.

The secret is containers, containers, and more containers. One for everything and everything in its place. I have a divided container for all my brads and they are organized by color. My stickers are in a Cropper-Hopper sticker binder. I have Cropper Hopper paper orgaznier which are sorted by colors. A three drawer organizer holds embellishments like more stickers, bling, primas, and chipboard. Hope this helps. You can even get containers at the $ store if you dont want to spend too much.

The dollar store had some cute baskets. I think they might of just been for easter. I dunno though lol. I bought another plastic folder thing for my card stock today.

Another thing I had to do and need to do again about 3 more times is PURGE. The less you have, the easier it is to find what you need. I love to collect more stuff but I try to remind myself to get rid of what I don't or won't use! HTH

Thanks for the suggestions, I need all of the help I can get! This weekend, I shopped around for some more organizers. I really need one for all of the little items. How do people sort paper? Colors? Seasons? I'm attending an all day scrapbook event coming up in April, so I want to make sure that I'm ready!!!

I sort by color mostly. If it is patterned paper I pick the dominating color. However, I do have another "Cropper Hopper" that has just special events (Christmas, Easter, Birthday, Boy, Girl). I hope that helps!

I need to get in there now and organize again. Some how it gets all messed up and has to be fixed at least once a year.

I am a color girl ALL the way. All paper is organzied by colors of the rainbow. My patterned paper is by style for example: stripes, dots, flowers, misc. and then in each of those categories by color. HTH. The Cropper Hopper organizers are SUPER for paper!! They hold A LOT!!

Thanks so much for the help. Tonight, as soon as my daughters go to bed, I will attempt the paper. This is going to be one tough job. I have so many pieces of paper. I will most likely need so more help (its really a mess!)
