Last Chance! Get Your Name in the Upcoming Mommysavers Book!

Mommysavers is collecting quotes to use in an upcoming book Amazon.com: Instant Bargains: 500 Ways to Shrink Your Grocery Bills and Eat Well for Less: Kimberly Danger: Books scheduled for publication January 2010. We’ll be bringing you the best tips, advice and ways to save money while grocery shopping, cooking and eating out. We’re looking for real-life stories to back up our tips! We've already collected at least 20 tips from our members and are looking for more.

If you’re interested in sharing your advice with us, here’s how:

We’re looking for stories and tips on the following subjects:
• Do you have a unique way of using whole grains (couscous, quinoa, etc.)?
• Have you found a hidden bargain at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods? What was it, how much did it save over the price at a typical store?
• Do you have a unique system to organize your stockpile?
• Have you saved a lot of money through stockpiling? How much?
• Have you saved a lot of money by canning your own produce?
• Do you have an unusual way of using or another use for a small kitchen gadget?
• If you really don't like cooking, what unique types of foods do you buy at the grocery store that are frugal and easy to prepare (15 minutes or less, less than 5 ingredients)?
• Do you ever do your own "Pantry Challenge" at home and use up what you have on hand? How does that work, and can you tell us more about it?
• Do you have a favorite restaurant meal that you learned how to create at home? How much do you save by creating the same thing at home?

Guidelines:
• Tips must be 50-100 words in length
• Must be original, true stories about unique ways to save
• Send in your name, city and state with your tip
• Please email your stories to: tips@mommysavers.com
• If your tip is selected, you’ll be asked to sign and return a permission form

I got the Trader Joe's tip, and the creating your own restaurant meals at home -- but I still have room for a couple more. I'm also interested in unique tips for saving money on snacks on-the-go. Thanks to all the members who have contributed already! I can't wait until this comes out. There are so many good ideas included!
