We're having 15 people over. DH sweetly recommended I make more h'orderves besides my usual chips, cheese plate, and veggies. I'm thinking of buying piggies in the blanket. Is there anything else I can make that is fast and delicious. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I think you're hosting the Super BOWL -

I'd make a sandwich platter - cold cuts, cheeses, condiments. Alternately you could do make your own burritoes or hot baked potatoes with toppers.

Maybe you could add a plate of hot wings with ranch and blue cheese dip.

Lots of beer nuts or peanuts.

You have dips for the chips, right?

Definately make sweets, too. Have chocolate laying around (an leftover Halloween candy?) or bowls of M&Ms. Maybe make a sheetcake or have makings for a make-your-own-sundae bar.

Oh, and popcorn - lots of popcorn - is very frugal and popular.

I like to buy the meatballs that are made already.. I think Mama Lucia or something
put them in the crockpot with like 1 cup grape jell and one bottle chili sauce - store brand or hienz-

they are always a hit and i never tell anyone who doesnt already know- that there is grape jelly in them till they ask for the recipe- which they always do!!!

get a platter with sweet pickles and dill pickles green olives and black olives- that is easy and people eat them up!!!

Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon - Allrecipes

Easy Pepperoni Bread - Allrecipes

Buffalo Chicken Dip - Allrecipes (skip the cheddar, use Bleu cheese instead of ranch dressing, and cook chicken breasts in the slow cooker for the chicken)

Baked Potato Skins - Allrecipes

And for dessert I would recommend:

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball - Allrecipes

Crockpot chicken nachos

3 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can milk (fill up one of the soup cans)
2 bricks of cream cheese
2 cans black beans rinsed
2 cans corn drained
2 cans sliced olives drained
2 cans chopped green chilies
1 bunch green onions chopped

1 lb grated cheddar cheese
**2 HEAPING table spoons pureed chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
4 half chicken breast steamed and chopped

Toss first group in crock pot and cook till hot and melted

Add the next group stir once in a while and get it hot

serve with chips.

**I get La Costena chipotle peppers in Adodo sauce whole, toss in a blender to make a paste. It can get hot so you may want to start with 1 table spoon and add as needed.

I wish we were giving the party this year, I LOVE to cook!

Chestnuts wrapped in bacon

Whole water chestnuts
thin sliced bacon
toothpick

just wrap the bacon around the nut, stick a toothpick in and put under the broiler till bacon is cooked. serve warm with a sweet mustard for dipping.

Some people will sprinkle brown sugar on them before the cook them

Thank you ladies! Everything sounds wonderful! I'm gonna have dh decide what he likes....probably everything. Unfortunately being a vegeterian, I'm cooking meat dishes in the blind. So, I hope my guests have strong constitutions!

DH let me know last night that we are hosting a Super bowl party. I dont mind the cooking of food for it-I love to do that sort of thing. But it is the cleaning of the whole house by myself as dh will be gone from Friday morning until either really late Saturday or early Sunday morning. Here is what I am making

Hot wings
CP of chili and all the fixings
pickle roll ups
velveeta cheeseburger dip
guacamole
wienies in bbq sauce
veggie tray
cheese and crackers
chips
dessert-not sure what I will make for something sweet, maybe cookies

You're a lot more understanding than I am. If my husband "let me know" that "we" were hosting a party, and then stuck me with ALL the prep work, I'd be livid.
