If anyone knows a recipe like this can youu be more specific what kind of chili sauce... I need a name brand and please tell me how many ounces to look for. I would like to make these for sunday but I'm not sure what is meant by chili sauce. Thanks, Linda

I used heinz chili sauce. It comes in a glass bottle shaped somewhat like a ketchup bottle only perhaps a bit smaller.

I always use just a favorite brand of BBQ sauce. As far as measurements, I do not have any. It is one of those things to toss together, adding a little here and there until you have the taste just right. I know I have seen bottles of chili sauce on the same shelf as bbq sauces so take a look there. I am doing little smokies in bbq/grape jelly for Sunday. I have two packets of wieniers so I will add one bottle of bbq sauce and about 1/2 a jar of jelly.

1 lb. ground beef
2 c. bread crumbs
1 pkg. dry onion soup
1 egg

Mix all ingredients. Shape into balls and arrange in baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Don't overbake.

Sauce:
1 jar Heinz Chili Sauce
1 med. jar grape jelly

Heat chili sauce and jelly till hot and jelly is disloved. Add to meatballs.
