I'm sure we all know what this is and where it came from so here it is....

2 cups vanilla ice cream or soy ice cream
1 1/4 cups 2% low-fat milk or soy milk
1/4 teaspoon mint extract
8 drops green food coloring

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth.
Stop blender to stir with a spoon if necessary to help blend ice cream.
Pour into 12-ounce cups and serve each with a straw.

Reading your post reminded me of a friend that I had at the office. He was obsessed with the Shamrock shake and went almost every day to MCDs to get it. He would be upset when they stopped making it for the season. I wish I still had his email address to send this to him

I've already have two real ones this season! Thanks for the recipe. The best was last year when I was pregnant during Shamrock Shake season. I had one almost every day.

Thanks! I made these over the weekend for my husband and DD - we all loved them! Next time I decided I'm going to top with whipped cream and crushed up oreos - doesn't that sound yummy!!!
