1 qt peppermint ice cream
1 qt eggnog
4 (12oz)bottles ginger ale, chilled
1 c rum
small peppermint candy canes for garnish

Put 3 round scoops of ice cream in the freezer for garnish.

Stir the rest til soft.
Gradually stir in eggnog and rum.
Transfer to a punch bowl, and stir in ginger ale. Hang candy canes around the edge of the punchbowl and float the frozen balls on top.
Serve immediately.
