If the little dipper crock pot will cook up the onions in the recipe? I just got one for Christmas & wanted to try making hot crab dip for tonight. Of course, I just threw it together & realized that it does not seem like it will get hot enough to cook up the raw onion. I chopped the onions really fine & I am hoping that they will cook up at least a little bit.

Also, does anyone have any good appetizer recipes for the little dipper?
Thanks!!!

for dips that call for onion like that I usually lightly saute mine first.

any hot dip recipe will basically work in the lil crock......you might wanna try the buffalo chicken one....its a fave on here and works great in the lil dipper!

Thanks! I will definately try cooking the onions first next time I make it! It did come out pretty good, just the onion flavor was way too strong. And the buffalo chicken dip sounds really really good! DH loves buffalo chicken and I have been craving spicy foods lately! I will try making it soon! Thanks for the suggestion!
