My mom had three divided tupperwares, one for each of us. Each was labeled with our initials. She would get our snacks ready during the day when she had a free minute. Then when we got home from school, we could grab our snack out of the fridge without bugging her, or she wouldn't have to worry about it if she had just gotten in the door.

Not only did this save my mom time, it also saved money. She would make us things like peanut butter on celery sticks, instead of expensive pre-packaged snacks. We liked having our own box too, obviously since I still remember 20 years later!

What a good idea. I think I'll use this for my kids because they are always starving as soon as they get home.

I like that idea a lot. You could fill it with anything-crackers, fresh fruit, canned fruit, cheese slices, etc. I am gonna check out the dollar store too for some little boxes.

I Do something Similar and it works so good For Us! I Mark Juice boxes, Yogurts , Puddings Ice pops etc . with everyones initials. I Also do this With Dry Snacks that I Prepackage in snack Bags and other individual Things like cracker packs and Granola Bars.
I Can't tell you how many Arguments this has ended!
Everyone Gets one or two Of everything I Buy. And when you can't Find your Initial , it means You already had all that you are allowed for that Particular Snack.

I found some containers with lids on clearance where I work plus my discount!! I got three small bowls and three square ones-those are actually for sandwiches so they are good sized. At first I didnt like that I could find two packages of the small bowls, but than thought duh! They can have something like 1/2 a sandwich for those days when we either have to run errands afterschool or when I know we will be eating late. Yesterday when I got home from work, as ds3 was eating lunch, I cut up some cheese and summer sausage and put it in everyone's container. It was so nice to just pull those out when we got home and everyone was happy as can be. I think today, I am going to wash up some grapes and slice up a large apple for them to share and put that in their boxes. I know this will make after school less hectic when we get home. Thanks again for the great idea!
