Just out of curiosity, do the wicks give off black smoke when they burn? Is it easy to reach your hand inside the jar to keep the wicks trimmed? Sometimes I have trouble getting my hand and the scissors at the right angle to keep them trimmed, so I was just wondering. I LOVE homemade candles, but this has been a problem for me in the past with them.

no my wicks dont give off black smoke......I usually dont use scissors to trim the wicks because of that problem so I figured out a way to do it without using scissors....I went and bought a pair of TOE nail clippers and use that to trim the wicks and it works out well!
