The only thing I can think of it either 1. People go to other places (I don't usually check here often, because there's not too many posts so I yard sale, or buy elsewhere online) or 2. For your particular post, you're wanting specific new items, and most of the time the things that I've noticed being traded are used, but in good condition. I think most of the women here have so many kids if they did have the new toys you were looking for, they'd already have plans for their own kids for Christmas. or, 3. You just odn't have anything anyone wants/has for trade. One time I listed over 2 dozen brand new board books, that I was willing to trade for used board boks, but didn't have any bites either! Ended up selling them online later. And there's always 4. the bigger the item, the more expensive the shipping. Sometimes, it's easier to buy things new, than pay for the shipping rates. Cheaper, too.
That might, or might not be part of it. Not sure, but thought I'd answer!
