Mommysavers Bartering Board Rules/Policies:
The purpose of the Mommysavers Bartering Board is for moms to exchange goods without money changing hands. You may post items for trade here. Please list descriptions accuratelyand complete your transactions in a timely manner.
Rules to go by when considering posting on the barter board:
1. You must have 50 posts in order to post a trade on the barter board AND must have pre-approval from one of the barter board moderators. You must provide us with your name , any alias, and addresses for us to be able to check references. Anyone found to have 3 or more prior bad feedbacks on ANY site (not just MommySavers) will NOT be allowed to trade on MommySavers until proof has been given on trades made right.
2. You must send YOUR item first and have it received by the person you are trading with if you have under 100 posts and have met the above requirements.
3. If at all possible, ALL trades must be completed on both sides within thirty days.
4. Remember that if you trade with someone without contacting us to make sure they are on the "good" list, it increases your risk of a bad trade, and as always, MommySavers is NOT responsible for any trades.
5. ALL posts made on the barter board must meet with moderator approval before being viewed by the public. We will do this as quickly as possible, but there might be times that a trade or reply to a trade thread that you post does not go through until the next day. Please bear with us and understand that we are simply trying to make this the safest and best experience possible in trading. If you have any questions/concerns, please contact a bartering board moderator.
6. Bumping posts: Please do not bump any post more than once per week. For instance, if you have three different threads going that you would like for people to see more than just after the initial posting, you may come back and bump each one of those threads once weekly. More than one "bump" weekly will not be approved for public viewing.
7. You must be willing to trade merchandise. Posts for items that are for sale only will be removed.
Trader Etiquette:
It is a good idea to complete your trade within a week. If more
time is needed, please let your trade partner know. Don't leave
negative feedback until you've given your trade partner ample time to make amends. If you leave negative feedback and your partner DOES make amends, please appropriately amend your feedback. Please always leave feedback under "Trader Feedback" so that each trader can establish a good trading reputation with other members of the discussion board.
FAQ:
Can I sell on this board?
You must be willing to trade merchandise. Posts for items that
are for sale only will be removed.
Can I accept Paypal as trade?
We realize that sometimes a trader wants your item, but doesn't have anything to offer that's on your ISO list. If you have items you're willing to accept in trade, you may also include Paypal among them. However, Paypal may only be used as a last resort and can not be listed as the only thing you will accept.
What do the abbreviations mean?
ISO - In Search Of
IDSO - In Desperate Search Of
FT - For Trade
WL - Wish List
H - Have
W - Want
WT - Will Trade
NIP - New In Package
NIB - New In Box
NWT - New With Tags
NWOT - New Without Tags
FSOT - For Sale or Trade (But again, please keep in mind that trades should be worked if at all possible)
*Mommysavers is not responsible for transactions conducted through this board. Trade at your own risk.

FSOT means For Sale or Trade..."meaning we realize that sometimes a trader wants your item, but doesn't have anything to offer that's on your ISO list. If you have items you're willing to accept in trade, you may also include Paypal among them. However, Paypal may only be used as a last resort and can not be listed as the only thing you will accept."
Hope that helps you!

I used to be a member long ago, did some trading on here, even had and posted a bit of feedback, but was gone too long apparently and forgot my password for the old name, so varied it and am back. I see that you've put some new rules into place, so I'd just like to clarify what they mean... 50 posts? To the Barter board, without tradings? I'm not sure I understand how to do that ,, or is it anywhere on the site,, just 'chatty' stuff? I'm a bit confused and don't want to get my resturn off on a bad foot

If you look to the right of your name you will see that you currently have 4 post counts to your name. In order to participate in the NEW Bartering forum, you must have at least 50 to your credit before listing or trading. To do so you can join in some discussions in chit chat or the other forums such as: home and hobbies , money saving ideas ,or personal growth and even fun and games. Once your count is at 50, you can then go ahead and list your ISO or FT items. The count total is taken from what you have participated in using this current board, not any others. (even though Mommysavers has changed over a few times).

Two questions. One, who are the board moderators and how do we identify & contact them?
Two, is #4 above (Remember that if you trade with someone without contacting us to make sure they are on the "good" list, it increases your risk of a bad trade, and as always, MommySavers is NOT responsible for any trades.) aimed at the new posters, or the posters who are considering a transaction with a new poster? And does "contact" mean checking the Trader Feedback board, or should we check with someone personally? It kind of implies, to me, that there's someone I should check with in person, but I could be overthinking it. It's been that kind of week.
Thanks!

The moderators for all sections of the board are listed at the bottom of the first page on each forum. If you would like to trade, now that you have fifty posts, you will need to send us the information listed in the bartering board rules, and then we will get back to you asap on approval. As for the second part of your question...we do ask that NO ONE send out a trade to someone who has less than 100 posts without receiving their item first, just to make sure of the "newbies", so to speak. If you have a question on someone you are trading with, though, you are ALWAYS welcome to contact one of us to make sure, as far as we can tell, that they are good to go.
Edited to highlight information so that it's easier for members to see.

I hadn't noticed that before. It's a good thing to remember.

Okay, that explains everything. Thanks!
I just had a random thought. Not that it probably happens, but what if both people trading have less than 100 posts?
