Effective immediately, all threads started on the barter board will have to be approved by the barter board moderators (abbysmommy and myself, blessed_with_6). YOU do not have to do anything different to post, but before the post will show up to the public, one of the moderators will be proofreading it to make sure all is well. We thank you for your understanding, and we hope this steps helps ensure a more positive trading time for ALL of us.

May I ask why? Is it because people aren't reading the rules first? I think this will be alot for u guys to do. I usually like to post at night so it is ready first thing in the am, so unless someone is on all the time there will be a delay which could be hours.
Not trying to be difficult just trying to understand.

Some of it is because people aren't reading the rules first...some of it is because people know the rules and aren't following them...

We apologize for any delays that might take place, but I prefer a delay to a bad trade. One of us is usually on late, the other on early in the a.m., so there shouldn't be much of a delay at all. This is the most effective way right now to make sure that only approved traders are posting and to make sure that the posts made are for trades and not just for money.

when i replies to someone about something they needed, my reply was there then it was gone five minutes later?? why would that happen?? also, i replied to bump my own post and neither one showed up???? please help!

They're showing now...they were awaiting moderation. They won't show immediately after being posted. You'll be able to read it at that time, but once you've moved on to another thread, it won't show up to anyone until it's approved.

How long should it take (rough estimate) before a post shows up, and will we be notified if our post is denied?

I tried to post something yesterday afternoon (and tried again when it disappeared because I thought the PC messed up and I hadn`t seen this thread yet), and I still don`t think the post has shown up.
