I know this is cutting it close. But my little one wants to be a bumble bee, and I don't know if I will be able to find her one. I saw one at Target, but it was an 18 months. My daughter would probably need a 2-4T. She is 3 years old and wears between a 3 and 4 T.
I bought her a Strawberry Shortcake costume at a yard sale for 2 dollars, but she has no idea who Strawberry Shortcake is.

Do you have a Once Upon a Child? I was there today and they had several costumes - not sure a bumble bee but every store is different. Good luck

Dd was a bumblebee last year, but I don't want to part with her costume... She still plays with it.
Here is what we have, though. It's really cute. Just add a black shirt and pants.
BTW, I only paid $5.99 last year on kidsurplus.com. They don't have them now, though.

I know this wouldn't be as cute but you could make one. I just read the other day that you can get yellow sweats and make black stripes...with black tape or something. Just an idea.

Thanks girls. I don't want to make one, I don't have any of the materials, and it would cost more to buy them all. I think I will look in more places later this week.

Two suggestions...
Check on Ebay-- I looked a few weeks ago for a bee costume for my little guy and there were quite a few in all different sizes (prices starting at 99cents to around 8 or 9 dollars).

Make your own (what I ended up doing)- I had a black onesie ( a shirt or sweatshirt would work too), black sweat pants and black socks . I bought a roll of yellow duct tape and made stripes and it is so far very cool (still struggling to find what I need to make the wings, but having fun being creative!) and best of all it will peel off after Halloween and he has the shirt, pants and socks to wear this winter.

Best of luck--
Liz

I got an AWESOME fleece one for my son at Gapkids. They are $14.99 now. It is a little boyish though maybe....
