MommySavers Bartering Board Rules & Guidelines:
The purpose of the MommySavers Bartering Board is for moms to exchange goods without money changing hands. You may post items for trade here. Please list descriptions accurately and complete your transactions in a timely manner. We do our best to make this a safe trading environment for all, however trading is done at your own risk. MommySavers is not responsible for trades.
Who may trade?
~ Members with a post count of 50+ posts (and)
~ who have become “Approved Traders” through an approval process
Approval Process:
To become an “approved trader” please provide all the following information to
a bartering board moderator so that we are able to check references.
~ Your full name
~ Your mailing address
~ All sites & any alias’ or other screen names you have traded/sold/bought
under on any other online site.
Anyone found to have 3 or more prior negative feedbacks on ANY site (not just
MommySavers) will NOT be allowed to trade on MommySavers until proof has
been given trades were made right.
Currrent Bartering Board Moderators: Kellynkay & Mamaof3kiddies
If you choose to trade with someone who is not an “approved trader” it increases your risk of a bad trade, and as always, MommySavers is NOT responsible for any trades.
Posting Items:
~ You must be willing to trade merchandise. Posts for items that are for sale only will be removed.
~ ALL posts made on the barter board must meet with moderator approval before
being viewed by the public. We will do this as quickly as possible, but there
might be times that a trade or reply to a trade thread that you post does not go
through until the next day. Please bear with us and understand that we are simply
trying to make this the safest and best experience possible in trading. If you have
any questions/concerns, please contact a bartering board moderator.
~ Posts may only be “bumped” back to the top of the forum once a week.
If at all possible, ALL trades must be completed on both sides within thirty days.
Feedback:
~ Members involved in a trade are strongly encouraged to leave iTrader feedback for the transaction. This feedback should be left in a timely manner and the URL for the transaction MUST be included.
~ Moderators of the bartering board forum must be notified of ANY trade gone badly. We will act as mediators before negative iTrader feedback can be left for either party involved.
~ If unwarranted negative iTrader feedback is left for either party before consulting the moderators AND before the 30 day time frame, the moderators will remove it temporarily, act as mediators and if the situation still cannot be resolved, will reinstate the negative feedback.
~ If a member has 3 negative iTrader feedbacks, they will be removed from the approved trader list, and no longer be allowed to trade.
Trader Etiquette:
Even though 30 days is “allowed” ~ it is a good idea to complete your trade within the shortest time possible. If a longer period of time is needed please let your trade partner know. Please always leave feedback under iTrader so that each participant can establish a good trading reputation with other members of the discussion board.
FAQ:
Why post "FSOT" if you aren’t allowed to sell??
FSOT means For Sale or Trade..."meaning we realize that sometimes a trader wants your item, but doesn't have anything to offer that's on your ISO list. If you have items you're willing to accept in trade, you may also include Paypal among them. However, Paypal may only be used as a last resort and can not be listed as the only thing you will accept."
50 posts seems like a world to me since I'm not much of a talker. I do have a lot of things I would like to exchange. Any tips on how to get the 50 posts as quick as possible?
We understand that 50 does seem like a TON, but posts add up quickly when you join in discussions. Get involved in some of the chit-chat threads, or one of the other forums that spark your interest. One of the reasons we like to have a minimum amount of posts is so that we can get to know the people we are trading with and they are established members on the board. It's better for both parties involved ~ The people wanting something feel better about trading with someone they "know", and the people trading will have a better chance of getting responses if their names are recognized.
Can coupons be traded here or only in the coupon forum?
If you want to trade coupons for coupons, then that needs to be done on the coupon forum. However, if you are trading coupons for other items, then that can be traded on the bartering board
