Okay Ladies...we NEED to get back on the ball with this....For anyone who wants to check in for hte first time welcome! Here's how this works...Every Friday we check in here and report what we have done to get physical this week, ie; parking farther from the store, walking after work, working out, playing with the kids..whatever got you up and moving! This is NOT about weight loss, so please don't let not dropping a pound stop you from checking in. *This just helps keep us on track and feel more accountable to do some physical activity during the week! *Good luck to all!

Okay, I'll go...this week, I got back on track thanks to Christie's very subtle reminder last week *

I've been readingthe Bob Greene's Total Body Makeover and started doing sdome of the exercises to familiarize myself with them and will go full tilt next week.

I'm back on my balance ball at my desk and whew...my abs know it! So does my leg b/c I can't sit on it anymore.

Much to my kids displeasure b/c of the heat, I did park half way into the parking lot at the food store yesterday, I parked near the second 'cart corral' instead of the first.

Used the treadmill 2x this week...but not for very long at all, my knees were hurting after 10 mins, so I need to work up to more time.

How did everyone else do??

I did okay but not as well as I have been doing - this GA heat is KILLING me! I walked 3 miles 4 times this week. It took me 15 minutes longer than it usually does because it was so darn hot and humid, but I still did it. I also did 100 situps every day and I did some pushups a couple of times. My dh put air in the jogging stroller tires and I think he did it unevenly because the stupid thing has been pulling to the left all week. It is driving me crazy and my left arm is getting quite the workout trying to keep it straight! Gotta fix it this weekend so it isn't an excuse for me to not walk. Oh, and I also took my older ds swimming on Sunday and stayed in the pool with him for a couple of hours. We swam and played the whole time and I was thinking it was such great exercise since I didn't have to sit in the shallow end with the baby the whole time.

I forgot - do we do the inch by inch next week? I can't remember if it is at the end of the month. I am so curious but I am going to wait until the last possible day to measure. I have only lost 1 measly pound all month but twice this week I have worn things that didn't fit me a month ago and now they are loose. I think I am making some progress! I am trying not to focus on the pounds and trying to just be proud of myself for getting back in single digit sizes.

Well I'm new to this diet so I have started slowly. I have walked 4 nights for 1.5 miles each time. I have also not snacked all week. No chips, candy, cookies, etc... This is a HUGE accomplishment for me.

Wow! Georgiamom and momma_bear...GREAT JOBS!!!!

Georgiamom, yes inch-by-inch is the last Friday of the month...I however have ot start over b/c I slacked last month and can't find my sheet (I'll do it on the computer this time)...so I have ground zero...which may be better anyway, I'm starting the total body makeover this week...I'll have a more accurate record!

Keep up the fantastic work ladies!!!

Thanks! And in case you don't remember I am maggie from the old board so I have been at this for a while now. I have finally been in an exercise groove since June 1st and it is really becoming a habit now.

Where is kimmiekoala? What is her name now? She was doing great with her walking too....

Thanks Maggie! I do remember you...all these name changes! We need to pin that info...but I figured you weren't new to this since you knew about inch-by-inch. Kimmie is here, I don't know if she has seen the chack in yet, but her name here is cjemommy , and the only reason I know that was I saw a recent post from her...otherwise I'd have blanked!!!

This is a great idea, maybe will motivate me! I seem to need it.

I set my Dvr this morning to began taping Denise Austin shows on lifetime, would like to do every morning, starting tommorow as I just decided 1/2 way through the show. For this mornings accomplishment walked around the corner for a Monday paper and mopped the kitchen floor! That should count for a few calories burned.
