I can soooooooooooooooooooo empathize with you. That has been my chief complain about getting back into a work out routine ~ motherhood!!!!
I got lucky though. I have the CDC here on base which is right across from the gym, which is about a 5 minute walk from where i Live. Needless to say I am taking full advantage of this (finally)
My suggestion to you is this:
Get up earlier and do what you can in the wee hours of the morning. It will be tough at first, but your body will soon crave it and get you out of bed before the alarm does. AND as the day goes on you will start to feel good about yourself because while you are sitting on your butt in front of the computer and the TV for extended periods of time, you can say to yourself "it's ok, I have already worked out today". (at least that is what I say to myself)
OR
when your kids take their naps, have everything set and ready to go. For me it was great. I would put them down around 1:30-2pm and then immediately jump on the treadmill. I would either run for 45 minutes or walk for an hour. End my work out session with some abs and then shower. By the time I got dressed the boys were waking up and I was a rejunenated woman. The problem however, was when it started getting super hot out. That is why working out first thing in the morning was better
I completely understand your frustration ~ BELIEVE ME. The only thing you have to do if it is important to you, is sacrifice some sleep time!!!!
