two months ago! I never said anything because, well, I never feel comfortable in them, but needed to do something. They always make me feel sort of foolish. This one does not though.

Well, it is Contours, which is a circuit training place like Curves except you actually lift weights and can do just the weights, the circuit training, really whatever you want. The problem is that I GAINED weight on it!! I gained 3 pounds, but I know the whole "muscle weighs more than fat" mantra. Still it was discouraging.

Well, last night at my weigh in I lost 2.5 pounds! Thank goodness it is finally paying off. I am losing inches as my clothes are fitting better and goodness knows dh is commenting on the improved body.

The really weird part is that I am getting sort of addicted to it!! A couple of friends and I are trading watching the kids during the week or I go at night after dh gets home. Plus they are open on the weekends which helps a TON. So, this past week, I only missed yesterday due to WW.

Maybe I will be an exercise junkie yet! I NEVER thought I would enjoy going to a gym of any sort! This is not a commercial, just sharing my newfound addiction!

Good for you!!! That is great that you found a place that you feel comfortable going. I think that is the biggest key.

DH added me to his gym membership back in June but I just started going this month. I wanted to get some excerise and to firm up, I just thought the gym would be filled with totally buff and toned people and that I would stand out like a sore thumb. Finally DH took me in with him and showed me around and how to use some of the machines. I am so glad he did. There are some of the "beautiful people" there, but for the most part, it is just average people trying to get a little healthier. I love to park myself on the treadmill in front of the TV showing Dr. Phil and just stay on it as long as I can. I think you can get to be a gym junkie because I was totally stressing out about not going last week while my Jeep was in the shop. :D

Good for you! I really liked going to the Y last year and felt that I was kind of addicted too! We just can't afford it because of gas prices! The two closest Y's are around 25 miles from my house so it takes at least a half hour to get there! If I spent only an hour working out it took a two hour chunk out of my day! I have been addicted this past week to walking at home, so I know the feeling you are having! Keep up the good work! If you don't mind me asking, how much have you lost on WW? I lost almost 65 pounds anf reached lifetime one month before I got pregnant with my first ds! I still have about 20 pounds to get back off after my second, but it's a work in progress! Sorry to highjack your post! Keep up the good work and congrats on getting past the "fear", that is half the battle!

I have lost 35 pounds on WW and have about 15 more to go to be happy. I am now a WW leader, too, so I at least get paid to go now! lol

I love it. It really does work. I tried many, many diets and it is the only thing that has worked for me.

good job Claire. I did too

Now what I hope doesn't work against you, like it has me is:

sick kids
power outages
being sick
being tired
and edited to add: STRESS FRACTURE!!!!

Otherwise, great job. I'm happy to hear about your newfound addiction. It's fun isn't it?
