Why is there no quick relief from it?????

Oh we are in the SAME boat!!!! I have been having gallbladder pain since my emergency apendectomy in April!!! My dr. said my stomach was producing too much acid and gave me samples of acid meds Nexium worked the best. Talk to your dr. Too much acid was causing my gallbladder to work overtime! It really helped. HTH

I do have 1 large gallstone. I'm not really bothered by pain that often. I wish there was something to take to get rid of the pain when I get it. My dr. gave me Bentyl. It says one capsule 4 times a day. The pain so far hasn't lasted that long to take that many pills. I took one because I thought I was getting the pain. I hope I would be heading it off by tonight so I would be able to sleep.

Sorry you're in pain. When I had it it hurt like someone was just stabbing me so I know it feels just awful. Hope you're better tomorrow.

my MIl had emergency gallbladder surgery a couple of weeks ago, She had the same pain, and in the ultrasound they told her it was blocking the tube to the stomach, so they had to do surgery. If it really hurts that much, maybe have to Dr. check it out that it is not too inflamed.

Just letting you know my thoughts are with you, i've had my gallbladder removed already,but i sure do remember how horrible those pains were!!

Had mine out in May. So glad it's gone! Hope you feel better soon!

The pain ended at about 3.15 a.m. so that was when I was able to go bed. Thanks for the responses.
