Any respectable Dr won't prescribe meds without a test to confirm it first so sorry, I know you're itchy, but I'd be more leery of a Dr that lets you phone in meds b/c you "think" you have something.
If you do have Lyme's it is possible you got bit by a deer tick weeks ago (it takes awhile (days to a week, and sometimes not at all) for the bullseye like rash to develop (and it doesn't develop just anywhere but specifically around the site of the deer tick bite) and might not have known it. The mosquitos were prob just a coincidence, if it is Lyme's; but I doubt it is Lyme's if you have more than one Bullseye type rash, and itching, I really hope it's not.
Most studies only speculate that it can be carried by anything other than a tick (there is no credible evidence that a mosquito or other insect carries Lyme disease) There is also no evidence that it can be transferred from person to person.
DVBID: Transmission | CDC Lyme Disease
My Dad and I both had Lyme's disease and an initial blood test is very important so it can be treated properly. Mine was caught early (I had the tick and brought it to the Dr's with us) and I was treated with Tetracycline, while my Dad went through 2 rounds of it and then was put on something else.
I hope you got to see a Dr in person to get a correct diagnosis. Feel Better!
