Does anyone even read these things?

I have been blogging for several days now and wondering if anyone even reads them. Since I've never done a blog before, I'm not really sure how it is supposed to work. I know that I look forward to posting so it's helping me but does anyone even read them?

I realized that in order to answer that question, I first have to start with me so I am making an effort to read others and respond when I have something to share. I have already started to look at things differently because of some of the blogs posted and am amazed at the progress people are making toward their goals. Some of them are really making huge changes in their lives and facing up to great challenges. Reading them has been enlightening and I'm in awe of the insight.

If you're not reading them, give them a try. You'll be surprised at what's on there.

Yes! When you click on your blog, at the top it will say, "views" and tell you how many people have read it. As of 10:04 EST you've had 74 views and 4 comments. That's great! You may also want to put a link to your blog in your signature line so that anyone who reads any post of yours will see on it an possibly read it.

The comments are to the top right of each entry. Click on the link there there is a number and you can read you comments.

As well, if you go to the blog index, a drop down from the Blog link on the blue line at the top of your screen you can see all the blogs, how many entries there are and how many comments have been made in each.

I know exactly what you mean, and I was wondering the same thing. Thank you for opening my eyes and suggesting to read others and place comments!! I have started with yours...will take me awhile to catch up...with a 9 month old in the house...I get distracted easily. But I am hooked....you already brought me to tears!! Thank you!!

Thanks! I realize how they work and know that some people are reading mine but what I didn't realize is how much amazing stuff is out there. I'm really trying the whole blog thing to help me through a difficult time. To me, it feels like a positive step toward getting a handle on my emotions and I feel better taking action than sitting here wringing my hands.

Until today, I haven't really been reading the other blogs. I guess my post was really just to share that with everyone who might not be reading them the amazing stuff that's out there.

I haven't really had the time to sit and read them. Currently I have a baby helping me type and a 5yo pouting because she can't get her puzzle together and she's tired.

I am hoping that tomorrow I can sit and read them and reply to them since I won't have anything going on at work.

I'm glad to see you're linking to your blog in your signature line. Sometimes if I like what someone has to say in a post, and I see that she has a blog, I'll read it. I also go to the blog index on a daily basis to see if any of the entry titles catch my eye.

We do read them! I have even decided to blog. I do it for my job but I would like to do it for me! I saw Columbus and then noticed OH I live near Columbus NE
