I'm currently reading:
Margot Adler's "Drawing Down the Moon"
JRR Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" - I have the whole trilogy bound in one volume - should I count it as one or three?
Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation"
And I have a copy of Audrey Niffenegger's "The Time Traveler's Wife" waiting for me at my friend's bookstore.

Not sure how long it will take me to finish those, but I'd like to average at least a book a month.
Between work and all the "extra-curricular" activities, there's not always as much time to read as I'd like.
I told my husband that at some point this summer, I'm taking a week off and doing nothing but lie in the back yard on a chaise, sunbathing and reading. He has promised to keep me supplied with iced tea and sunscreen.

I read all the time, I always carry a book with me, you never know when you will be in a long line at the post office, etc. I read at night when the kids are in bed. I am a very fast reader so I can get through 300-400 pages in two days. I am a member of the paperbackswap.com and I have gotten into all genres through that. My favorites are mystery/thriller, religious fiction and light chic lit. When on vacation I can read a book a day. If it is a good book you can find me reading while I am making supper. I just recently because a full time sahm and I find that i can read even more than usual. I am not sure I will make it to 120, but It's 1/7 and I have read two already and 1/2 through number three. I wasted 50+ pages on Rhett Butler's People until I could take no more and quit.

Gosh, I would like to read 1 book this year. Pretty pathetic, huh?!?! I can't seem to find the time to read anything other than quick snippets from magazines/news articles/children's books. For those with young children, where do you find the time? In the morning I hit the ground running and just crash every night. Whenever I have tried to read before bid I end up falling asleep. It makes me sad because when I was a child, I always had my nose in a book.

I've never kept track of the number of books I read in a year. I'm doing the title challenge, so I'd like to complete that and then some. I'm going to say I'll ready 40 books this year!

As of 2/10/09 - 8 down and 32 to go

Hmmm...I've never counted before either. I'm already on my second for the year though, so I'm going to go with 60. This doesn't count cookbooks or magazines which I dearly love too.

I'm an insomniac haha I end up in bed by 9, but get up by 10 generally, read or what not for a few hours and head back in to sleep. Up by 5 every morning. I'd rather be sleeping! but I need something low key to keep me occupied. I've gone through 15+ books since the beginning of the year I believe. Anything from thin romances, to suspense novels, to gone with the wind, hamlet, etc. I'll hit 120 for the year easy

I have to revise my count goal. I said 120 but I forgot one important thing: I didn't have internet last year and I now spend all my reading time with the Mommysavers! I think I may get 30-40 in this year while I catch up on my internet addiction! I am in the middle of quite a few, but I've only finished 3 so far in 2009 !
