What books would you recommend for a new parent to have around the house to read to their little one?

For little ones, I love classics like Goodnight Moon, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, etc.

I recommend my own book, 1000 Best Baby Bargains, to parents interested in saving money. I have a new one coming out next year, The Complete Book of Baby Bargains, that will be even better!

Anything by Dr Suess, Byrd Baylor, or Shel Silverstein.

I was given "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy" by Vicki Iovine and then read her others when my kids hit those stages. I loved them.
