My grandma, age 89, called me this weekend and we started talking about the Harry Potter craze during our conversation. Turns out when she lived in South Florida (she moved in with my aunt last year), she read all the Harry Potter books. My cousin's little girl had them so she had access. Nobody there reads them so she said she probably wouldn't get to read it.

Well, you HAVE to see what happens to Harry, right? She is so hard to buy for and we just send her a nice card now for Christmas and her birthday (right after Christmas). So, I ordered it for her as an early present.

She has always loved to read, but it just shocked me a bit she was reading HP! Go, Grandma! How cool is that?

Thats awesome that she read HP, its really neat how that series was able to get readers in every age group. Thats something to be proud of. I hope I am still reading at your grandmas age, I would love to sit back and relax in a comfy chair surrounded by books, but that dream will have to wait till my little angel gets older.

Very cool. Hope she enjoys the final installment. It is great that she is so open-minded and tries new things.

I think sometimes we tend to forget that Grandma was just like us not too long ago. I exercise every day and eat healthy. I hope I don't get hit by a bus and can be a cool Grandma someday.

That is very cool!
