I thought this would be a good idea, listing the books we are currently reading for the month. Adding to the list each time we finish one.

I just picked up a book this morning at the library while returning dd's things. Saw it on the shelf and it caught my interest. It's called " Storm Warning: the story of a killer tornado" by Nancy Mathis. It's all about the deadly tornado that hit Oklahoma on May 3,1999.Lots of true account stories of that day. Looks interesting!

Aside from the huge stack of "to-be-read's", I am currently reading NIGHT, by Elie Weisel. I'm sure you've heard of it, I think i saw it mentioned in a thread before, but it's a fantastic description of how the Holocaust played out. Terribly sad, but strikingly interesting. Give it a go, if you haven't already!

I just finished a book called The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes by Diane Chamberlain. It is not the kind of book I normally read, but a friend highly recommended it and it was really good. I then recommended it to my mom (and we NEVER like the same books) and she really liked it, too. Without giving too much away, it is about a girl who does something very foolish as a teen and then has to start over again with a new identity. I can't wait to read more by this author.

I just finished:

Baby Proof - by Emily Giffen - it was really good.

There is a "slight" chance I might be going to He** by Laurie Notaro - I just finished listening to that on my Ipod. It was pretty good.

I am not sure what I am going to start tonight. I will post that as soon as I decide!!!!

I am out of books...and Goodwill has been pretty picked over lately. I may try the library again when the girls go back to preschool the end of the month. It will be the first QUIET library trip I've been on in years!!!

I am almost finished with Forever - a historical fiction about a man who is granted the gift of immortality as long as he stays on the island of Manhattan. The story begins in the 1730's in Ireland and ends on or around 9/11. A lot of drama, his romances and some politics as well as true events that took place over the years. I am reading about the towers coming down now... it's hard to put down.

I am going to start A Series of Unfortunate Events part 12 the Penultimate Peril (last of the series.) I read the others as soon as they came out but never got around to this one.

chopey - I read Night a few weeks ago and loved it.
Klippy - I love Laurie Notaro books!
