Being here in Wisconsin where the winters are 9-10 mths long (atleast it sure feels that way!) I would say i do alot more reading in the winter. I often see books advertised as good "Beach reads" but honestly if i were at a beach i wouldn't be reading, i would be swimming. We don't ever take formal vacations, can never afford it, so i consider a good book in the middle of January , my own mental vacation.

I do most of my reading in the evening before I go to bed so I read all year long.

I would not say that I read more one time of the other versus the other. i am just an avid reader period and always looking for the next great read.

I say during the school year. i try and make all my appts when I have the least amount of kids, which is school year. I then am able to read rather than say don't touch that, leave your sister alone, and my fav JUST WAIT TIL WE GET HOME!

I just recently started reading a bunch over the summer. I do most of my reading at night right before bed (it's one thing daily that I do for myself, lol). I'm sure that I'll probably read the same if not more this winter. Guess it depends on how bad the winter is

I read more intellectual stuff in the winter when the kids are in bed earlier and when I have an hour or so between the time they leave for school and I leave for work. I read a greater quantity of books in the summer, though. I spend a lot of time outside watching my kids in the pool, etc, so it is a good excuse not to get stuff done around the house and read my fluff (I can't very well let them swim unsupervised!).
