Harry Potter books??

I have read the first two, and I am starting book 3. Is anyone else just starting to read these??

I started them because of all the hype with Book 7....and I had them all here for my kids...so I am reading away!! I never thought that I would enjoy them this much!!

And they are great!!

We are re-reading them as a family to find all the little things we missed the first time. The kids love it! They like it when they find a variation from the movie or some little tidbit of trivia (like how all the names on the Maurader's Map are certain characters). We have finished the first book and plan to watch the first movie again tonight. I reserved the second book on CD for our trip to Florida. We'll start it Friday.

Nope, my 8 year old and I are about 1/2 way through the first one. My older son is a huge fan and read them all the day they came out (we even waited until the mailman delivered #4 or 5 before we could leave on vacation!!).

Well, at least you're starting them. I'm waiting until my kids are little older and better able to read them, before I buy any of them. That, and I have several other books I would like to read before I start with any of the Potter books.

My 12 year old has watched all the movies, but has not read any of the books. My 11 year old has read 4-7 and we have just uncovered my sons (15) book 1. So they are taking turns reading that. My 12 year takes a long time to read books, so it will be interesting to see how long it takes her to read them all. I started reading them when my son was in around 4th grade. I always glance through what they are reading to see if I would like to read it too, and I was hooked and have read all the books, and seen all the movies.
