I'm wondering if this is weird I love to read but lately have been reading from the YA section because some of it is really good and I go through them faster than the "grown-up" books. Time is always an issue for me and I hate to drag out a book for weeks and weeks. I just read this book called Twilight and am dying to read the rest in the series. Getting the rest of the series is my "big plan " for the weekend....I kind of feel like a dork! But I guess I like what I like!

I volunteer in the school library once a week so I'm always finding stuff to read!

Currently I'm reading Margaret Peterson Haddix 'Shadow Children' series, and Erin Hunters 'Warriors' series, which my DD is dying to read but they are way beyond her reading level.

I just read Twilight too and I loved it! I can't wait to read the next one. You are not alone...I know a lot of adults who are loving this series.

Twilight is the best of the series, so far. The second wasn't bad, but I felt a little disapointed after reading it. It wasn't as interesting to me. Waiting for the third from the library. 90% of the books I own are young adult/kids books. I love the books written by people like E Nesbit and Edward Eager and such.

I know lots of adults who read YA. My dd has read the Twilight series, and my ds the Warriors series although I've not read either one yet. Maybe I should try them!!

I read a lot of it also. My theory is this..not only do I enjoy reading it, I have a 10 yrd old DD, who is reading (or will be reading) some of the books now. I like to read the same things so that I can keep an eye on some of what she reads.

I like reading YA, too. I LOVED The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books. Spent quite a bit of time on the waiting list at the library for the last one.

And think of all the adults that read Harry Potter...

I read a lot of YA stuff too. I am waiting for the 3rd book in the Twilight series now too, and liked the other two (although I do agree that I liked the 1st one better than the 2nd). I also have read the Shadow Children series. I find that I usually read more of the fantasy/sci-fi books in YA, but don't read those in adult too much.
