I just finished reading this book about 1/2 hour ago and cannot believe how much I sobbed in this book. I've read other books where I cried a lot, but never as much as this. If you're a dog lover you have to read this book. Some parts are hysterically funny and others are sob out loud, can't catch your breath sad. Great book!!! I think I've heard they're going to make it into a movie. Hope so.

i have read this book and so had my 12 yo ds. he cried too! it was funny to me also because i have a lab. it's weird that some breeds of dogs have the same little quirks. it was an awesome book! want to know something funny...?? when this book first hit the shelves, Shock Jock Howard Stern was promoting this book because he loved it too!!!

This was an awesome book. Except I didnt cry at all, I laughed thru the whole thing. We too have a lab and labs are funny, quirky dogs. I recommend the book to anyone - whether they have a dog or not.

You didn't cry?!?!? Oh my God, I was sobbing, holding my head in my hands, biting my hand I was sobbing so much, having to take a break to go blow my nose, calling my dh on the phone I was so sad, type sobbing.

Edite to add...but I did laugh out loud a lot too...especially during the flatulence part

I loved this book. I cried like a baby. We have a Golden Retriever but she is a bit of a nut too. I can totally relate though, no matter the breed of dog.

I had read that Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson were going to star in the movie, not sure if he is still going to be though.
