This is a children's book series. Why would she do this...because she can? I think it's inappropriate to address this part of any character's life. Do you see her stating Harry's heterosexual? I just think this is wrong. These characters are a figment of her imagination and can be of any orientation she wants them to be, but I think private parts of lives should remain private. It actually creeps me out that she states this, when you view certain scenes in retrospect. It just puts certain scenes in a different light. Just stuff I would rather not have in my mind during viewing...
"She was asked by one young fan whether Dumbledore finds "true love."
"Dumbledore is gay," the author responded to gasps and applause."
Why not just say yes, but not in the way you expect or something like that? If it was an adult series, I wouldn't think this way, but this is not a fact important to her stories.
