What is a good age to read Watershipdown? I've never read it -- I remember a kid I grew up with reading it and me asking her what it was about and her telling me, "Rabbits." And I was like, "Why would i read a book about rabbits?" And I never read it. 3rd grade me wasn't always too smart.

I don't know, because I never read it. But I read great reviews about it at paperback swap. So I plan to get it when I have more credits.

Oh I loved that book! Third grade might be a little young for it...it's really more of a preteen/teen book IMO. I remember the story being kinda complicated. The main characters are rabbits but it's a rather entwined story. Get from the library and try it out...or read some of it online at Amazon to get a feel for it.

My dd read it in the 5th grade. I remember because her teacher (which was our very favorite teacher ever) suggested she read it. She loved it!!!!!
