I am a BIG reader. LOVE to read. But have never checked out this forum.

My all time favorite author is Janette Oke. I read Love Comes Softly in the 5th grade and fell in love with it and have read that entire series six times. I have also read most of her other books. I also like Judith Pella, Michael Phillips, and so many more. I tend to prefer the books that are about past times.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone else read any of the Christian novels from Janette Oke and others.

I haven't read any Janette Oke books, because they are not in my usual genre choice. I did really enjoy the movies they made for the Hallmark Channel based on the "Love Comes Softly" book and it's sequels.
I have read some Beverly Lewis books (Christian based/ Amish themes) and really enjoyed them. Some other Christian authors that i have heard good things about are : Jan Karon,Lori Wick, Tracie Peterson, and Carrie Bender. Harlequinn books also has a line of romances called " Love Inspired" that are Christian based.

I have also read Beverly Lewis, Tracie Peterson and Lori Wick. I enjoyed their books too. Right now I am reading "Kansas Brides." I am not sure who wrote it, it is upstairs. Very good. It has four small stories in one book. They are also set in the 1800's. I really love that time.

I just love Janette Oke's books. I have read seven of the Love Comes Softly series.

Awesome! She is my favorite! I have read most of her books but still have I think four to go. I wish she was still writing.

I started with the Love Comes Softly series and read others from there. I love Janette Oke.
