I guess I am the only one reading The Constant Princess. It was a little hard to get into it..but now I can't put it down.

If there is anyone out there that has read this...I would love to talk about it.

In the meantime, let's get suggestions for the next book ~~ there are a few already in another thread, so let's add to that here!!

Oh and we will take our time reading this next one, with the holidays and all....

One More Day by Mitch Album (spelling)

Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Piccoult. Some people have strong opinions on this book so it might be good for a discussion book.

I have had Nineteen Minutes in the vote before, and it never wins...

Maybe we will just pick that one and call it a day....unless there are some more suggestions out there????

Or maybe we should take a break until after the holidays???

Deemom ~ I will definately include those two in the vote. Thank you for the suggestions.

If there are any other suggestions out there...anything, even if it is something we don't normally read, please let me know.

I will do a vote the first week in January for the next book, and we will pick this up again at that time.

I will assume everyone is busy for the Holidays.

As I said in another thread, I mostly read thrillers and mysteries but I don't know if these types of books are really good for heavy discussions.

I'm open to almost anything except sci-fi and sappy romances. These categories do nothing for me.

Are there any good books that take place during the 1940's, 50's, and early 60's? This is my favorite era in the United States and I have a hard time finding books that take place during that time period.

I've got 'The DaVinci Code' sitting in my pile right now and I'd suggest that, but I'm probably the only person in the world who's never read that book.

The DaVinci Code is a good book!!

I will do some research and see what I can come up with for you...I like historical fiction so something from those times frames might just be interesting....

WOW it is very hard to find anything from this time frame, unless you want to read about Mississippi or the JFK conspiracy.

I will keep looking.

No applications, anyone can join!! Right now I am getting ideas to start a book in January.

So, be on the lookout for a vote and then I will post discussion questions approx. 4-5 weeks after we all agree on what to read!!

We would be glad to have you join us!!
