Does it bother anyone else when a great
book is made into a movie??
The thread about The Lovely Bones reminded
me that I have heard they are making it into
a movie.

When I really fall in love with a book, a movie
about it just bothers me for some reason. It's
like they are taking away my imagination of the
characters and places.

However, there are some movies from books that
I love, like Fried Green Tomatoes and The Color Purple.

I think I just worry they will do a bad job of the movie.

I always worry about that because usually it just ruins it. Some good ones though, in my opinion, Lord of the Rings (I thought they did pretty well), Holes, and in the case of Schneider's List -- the movie was so much better! Did anyone ever read the book? It pretty much was a list -- though my college roommate liked it. We decided it was because she was an accounting major and liked lists!
