Question Do you usually buy books or check them out from the library?

I usually check books out from the library. It's very rare that I re-read a book again, so there's no point for me to keep already read books around my house.

I'll only purchase reference-type books that I know I'll read quite often and books that I'm desperate to read that the library doesn't carry. I try to purchase my desperate-to-read books from the used bookstore to save money.

I do both. I re-read books all the time. I don't mind buying used or new books. But I do love the library, too.

I am 98% a library girl! I do buy books for the kids but they like to read and reread, where I am like you Starlite I rarely read a book more than once

I did just buy Total Money Makeover but thats more of a reference book that I think I will refer to often!

I used to be a library girl but now I'm on two online book trading sites. So I list books I've read and get credits when someone orders them and then I can use the credits to "buy" books. I don't really keep books either, so if they've been read already, I don't care, and just ship them on when I'm done. If anyone wants to check it out, list me as a referral and I get a free book!!! My nickname is the same there as here.....aliadam.

The majority of what I read comes from the library. Then if it's a book I enjoyed by one of my favorite authors I buy it from a used book store, Half Price Books, or Ebay. There are a few authors that I really enjoy and do reread.

Dh and I are voracious readers and we don't buy them...I don't want to store them, we don't re-read them etc So we use the library, I'm there twice a week like clockwork! We have an awesome library system.

I do buy books for the kids but they also use the library regularily.

Both, but they are all for the kids. I used to be a huge reader, but I just don't have the time or patience for it any more.
