Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver -- hands down the most moving book I read this past year!

Alchemist by Paulo Coelho - awesome book. Bill Clinton and Julia Roberts also loved it.

Barbara Kingsolver has great character development in her writing style...she makes the characters seem so real. It's been awhile since I read her books...thanks for the suggestions...I'll have to pick this one up!

I loved Water for Elephants and I also really liked The Secret Life of Cee Cee Wilkes by Diane Chamberlain. I had never read any of her books before until a friend recommended this one - I want to read more now.

I haven't heard of this author. Do you know what other books she's written? Of course I could look myself
