Many libraries offer summer reading programs for adults as well as children. Is anyone else doing this?

I signed up with one library today although I'm not sure of what the prizes are. Another library is giving away great prizes ($100 Visa gift cards, $100 Barnes and Noble gift cards, gift certificate for a spa, etc) If those prizes don't get you reading I don't know what will.

I love doing summer reading. I'm reading all the time anyway so I might as well have the chance to win something.

I used to work for the library before we moved and at our branch we did do a little summer reading program for staff. When I got a new job at the administration building they didn't do a staff summer reading program over there and I was bummed. We always had pretty good prizes for the regular patrons.

I need to take my library books back and actually check out what the prizes are here this summer. I know the theme for adult summer reading has to do with science so I'm sure some of them are along those lines. I signed my husband up for it too since he reads a lot.

One thing that I love about the summer reading program here is that I can log my books online. This is great because it saves filling out the paper form and I don't have to remember which books I've read when I go to the library which is only about every 2 to 3 weeks.

Neither does ours. I wish we had an adult program. I read all the time. I'd love a chance to win a cool prize.
