I was on the web looking for poached egg recipies one day and came upon this. It is so easy! I just put one or two eggs in a small bowl or coffee mug with water. Poke each egg with a toothpick. Then cover it with Saran Wrap. I cook one for one minute, two for 1 1/2 min. or longer. I suggest you test your microwave, depending on how soft/hard you like your eggs to be. Use a strained spoon to take your egg out and blot it with a paper towel to get water off if you like. For a quick and easy breakfast. We just eat it on toast. I have also made them on english muffins, with cheese, ham, and holandaise sauce on top. Yummy!
My 17 son asks me to make him them now before he goes off to school. (He almost always just skipped breakfast) So I am happy to see him eating breakfast again!

We do them all the time, but the microwave time & strength does vary. I just put the egg in a ramekin sprayed w/ PAM, poke a hole in the yolk & go at it. I also like it as a breakfast sandwich.

I've been eating these on english muffins with cheese and bacon lately. I spray a little bowl with oil, beat the egg in it and microwave for 1 minute. I didn't cook it in water.

No, not if I microwave them. If I do them on the stovetop, then yes.

I don't scramble them. I just poke a hole in the yolk. The white firms up, the yolk firms up or stays a bit runny, depending on how long you microwave them for.

They are not as good as REAL poached egg on the stovetop, IMO, but they are fine. Try it. I mean, it's not like a lot of work!
