ISO any smoothie ideas, but especially any that have protein in them. Oldest DS is very picky, and I try to sneak protein in any way I can.

Is it possible to put whey powder in them? Will she drink them if you do that? DH does this. I also add powdered milk to his. That gives another protein boost.

HTH!

We are on a smoothie kick in our house right now!

We do a chocolate, PB and banana smoothie here. That is the only one that DD will eat. She is Picky (w/ a capital P). I just dump in go, but here are the rough amount that I use for two smoothies

2 frozen bananas
1 cup of milk + chocolate powder OR 1 cup chocolate milk
1/4 cup creamy PB
1 Tbls ground flax seed (optional)

Whirl it up in the blender and serve! We like ours thick so the above amounts make a pretty thick smoothie. Add more milk if you like yours thinner.

We eat/drink a smoothie several times a week as an afternoon snack, and usually use frozen fruit and yogurt. Lately, I've been using strawberry-flavored tofu instead of yogurt, and no one has noticed a difference. Not sure of the protein content of that, but would guess it's significant.

I just got a smoothie machine last week and am anxios to start using it. I too could use some receipes for making them. Don't you use ice when making them? I'm clueless.

I have made us smoothies for years and never gone by a recipe. I just use what we have on hand and toss it all it.

Yogurt-any flavor
a splash or two of juice-any flavor
Powdered milk-if it needs some
I always have frozen fruit (strawberries, raspberries and blueberries). I just toss them in. If I use frozen fruit than I do not use ice.
Fresh fruit-bananas, peeled apples, peeled pears, etc.

No measurements. Just dump in and go.
