Another great idea... throw a couple handfuls of dries blueberries on top... yummy!

Note: It's good warmed up for left overs too... I have one piece left and hated to throw it away and my mil said that wouldn't be too good warmed up.. let me tell you I enjoyed every last bite of it..

Do NOT do it with regular bread. My sister tried it that way instead of the Texas toast and it came out all mushy. I would assume that homemade bread would work, just as long as it is cut thick.
